Kossya is a settlement in the Nizhneturinsky city district of Sverdlovsk region. It is located in the valley of the Is river at the foot of Mount Kachkanar, to the northwest from the cities of Kachkanar and the Nizhnaya Tura. The way up from Kossya is 2 km shorter (than the road from the city of Kachkanar from the checkpoint of the Western quarry). It’s a little steeper, but Kossya has an excellent view of all Mount Kachkanar which won't be the case if you decide to go from the city.
The Fig. 1 shows the village Kossya, the city of Kachkanar and the Temple on the mountain between them.On this figure you can see how the village is located relative to the city of Kachkanar, NB: at the crossroad
Kossya-Kachkanar the arrow points only towards Kachkanar (to the right), and there’s no arrow to Kossya (to the left). Below in Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 you see closer this crossroad where you need to turn left. After the crossroad go straight forward and you will reach Kossya (Fig. 4).
You will enter the village by Lenin St. Down this street you will see two grocery stores. The choice there isn’t wide, but it’s the only place in Kossia where you can buy such products as bread or milk (Fig. 5). Go down Lenin St., after the school turn to the right, then to the left (Fig. 6). You need to reach the house No. 3 on Gornaya St. But don’t park near this house. It is better to park in the place marked in the Figure «для автомобилей» - "for cars".
If you have any questions, you can get all the answers in the house marked at Fig. 6 as «Будущая гостиница для гостей «Шедруб Линга» ("Future hotel for Shedrub Ling guests"). There live Shedrub Ling community members. From the "hotel" you can see the start of the road up (Fig. 7), it’s the footpath going to the woods.
Follow this footpath, without turning, up to the temple (Fig. 8). Follow the red-white marks on the trees.
